Day 1 of 2016

Image
It's the start of 2016 & I'm really happy that it's a brand new year! :) A few challenges ahead of me just as 2016 appears: 1. Upcoming IHG Softball & Hockey Quarter-Finals where we will meet very very tough opponents 2. Running 2.4km in at least  10min 30sec 3. Acceptance for summer PA 4. Grades 5. Social life I hope that i will be able to brave through all these current challenges ahead of me, and mold me into a better person. On a side note, I will be meeting my secondary school friends (Yancy, Jac, Jx, Iylia, Naz, WM) for a very late christmas and new year exchange, but well, its better than nothing! We are also planning to skype Chui, who is on the other side of the world. So excited for today and hopefully it will be another pleasant memory to keep for 2016. Shall not talk too much anymore. Once again, Happy New Year peeps! :)))

Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016

It has been so long since I've posted here on my blog! I think its really a good idea to blog because I am able to relate the day's happenings and my thoughts and feelings! Having no time is just an excuse. Being lazy is just another reason. And yet, procrastination took the best of me once again. SO many things to do, but its already 31st Dec 2015, and I have not completed a single task of what I was supposed to do during the Dec holidays. I've got my internship resume and CV to do up; I've got the Singapore Footprints website to revamp; I've got Korean and Javanese language which I planned to self-study on my own, and yet failed to do so. However, Dec was really packed this year because I went Indonesia for 9 days, and straightaway, I literally camped in hall every weekday because of the Inter-Hall Games (IHG). And with that, I've neglected many of my friends, and didnt get the chance to meet 2 groups of friends. I've also realized how much I've dr...

first day at NTU HALL 10- single room

Image
Today is the first day I have officially moved in to stay at hall.... I'm feeling excited, sad and nervous yet at the same time. It's the first time I'm separated from my family(i mean physically), so I feel quite lonely. Yet, at the same time, I'm also looking forward to a fun hall life where I can meet new people and participate in new activities as well. However, the issue of having to earn points to continue to stay at hall stresses me out. I'm at NTU business, so I have only 3 years to complete my modules, instead of 4. Having to join hall activities, join committees etc means i have to plan my time very well. Nevertheless, I hope I will have a good stay at HALL 10 & I will be able to make lots of  new friends.   This is my single room - desk area and wardrobe are on this side of the room this is my bed I'm not sure on how to weigh the pros and cons of having single or double room, but it's really up to one's preferences.

My new life (2014)

Image
Hi! I'm finally back after 5 years. As i look back at my old posts, i realized how childish and "singlish" the way i wrote my blogs. Nevertheless, I'm starting my uni life soon, which is actually next week. Before i touch on how nervous and yet excited for uni life, i shall summarize what happened to me over the last 5 years. So many things happened- people come and go in your life, consolidated my friendships and made greater new friends, THE BIRTH OF MY BABY SISTER, deterioration of relationships with my relatives etc. Definitely, all this made me even stronger as a person as i become more independent and humble. My few very close friends are those that accompanied me through the ups and downs of my life. I will definitely not forget them for the rest of my life. Others are just friends who play a part to listen to your problems but don't understand everything about you. The birth of another family member has definitely brought greater joy and peace to my family...
